Roofing Classes — the 2026–27 Schedule
Your one reference for the school year: every class, every code, every date. Every apprentice completes at least four one-week classes a year (7:30 AM–4:00 PM, October–May) — you choose your weeks. First-years: attend the fall orientation (September 9 at 6:00 PM) to get signed up.

What each class covers

Your foundation: tools, materials, terminology, and the habits of a safe, productive first year on the roof.

The classic multi-layer flat-roof system: materials, asphalt application, and the craftsmanship behind roofs that last decades.

TPO, PVC, and EPDM membrane systems — the most common commercial roofs you'll build: welding, seaming, detailing, and quality.

Shingles, tile, and steep-slope systems, plus the rigging and footing skills that keep you confident at pitch.

Torch and self-adhered mod-bit systems: surface prep, application, and detail work.

Fluid-applied systems and reflective coatings — the fast-growing, energy-smart side of the trade.

Below-grade and plaza waterproofing: membranes, drainage, and the detail work that protects entire buildings — including green roofing, vegetative roof systems, and building envelopes.

OSHA standards, fall protection, and jobsite awareness — refreshed throughout your apprenticeship because it's the skill that protects all the others. Includes your OSHA 30 card.
